
With the official start of fall (September 22nd) quickly approaching, we thought it was time to check out this year’s fall color predictions from a few different sources, and watch to see what color actually appear this upcoming season. GDUSA is a monthly publication geared towards creative professionals everywhere. It comes to you at the whopping price of FREE if you are a legitimate creative professional in the US. I’ve been recieving GDUSA for about a year and a half now and have never been the least bit disappointed in the content it has provided.
This past month’s issue contains the American Inhouse Design Awards which I finally got the opportunity to catch up on last night. There is definitely some great work in there which, as always, makes it a stellar place for inspiration.
Okay, so truth be told, I nearly forgot this tool existed until today. I had to create a new button for a website to add to the navigation, however, the original layered files could not be found. I am sure that anyone doing any sort of design work, big or small, has come across this little headache-inducing dilemma at some point. Well What The Font is the solution of champs. It’s not always perfect, but at least it helps when it can!
For years, I refused to purchase an iPod for a certain someone in my life (hint: she gave birth to me). I tried your $29.99 deals you find on sites like Computer Geeks. I tried one of the older generation iRiver players. In essence, anything but an iPod. Of course, she eventually went out and bought one on her own.
The other devices all worked well and good (for the most part). But the thing that really bugged me was that my mom called every one of them “iPods.” I found it slightly annoying and amusing all at once.
Making the “grand slam” in design means making your product the benchmark against which all other products will inevitably fail. Kind of.
